‘The Gathering’ is the first of a series of paintings that I hope will be part of a larger project. My goal is to create guidance cards that feature my traditional paintings to curate the deck.
One of the inspirations for this project is my favourite guidance card deck, called ‘The Soulful Woman.’ This has been a dream of mine for years, and the ideas are finally starting to come together. I titled this piece ‘The Gathering’ as a reminder of the importance of community and the value of asking for help when needed.
“It is time for you to gather and lean on those you need the most.”
